1. Acceptance and Registration

By creating a Barangay Biga resident account, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, that you are registering for official barangay services, and that you agree to follow these Terms and Conditions.

2. Personal Information Collected

The barangay may collect and process the information you provide during registration, including your username, password, full name, suffix, birthdate, birthplace, sex, occupation, citizenship, civil status, address, mobile number, email address, PWD status, solo parent status, 4Ps beneficiary status, Indigenous People (IP) status, and senior citizen status based on your birthdate.

3. Account and Security Data

For account protection and verification, the system may record your account status, login activity, trusted device records, OTP verification results, password change history, and basic technical logs needed to detect unauthorized access or system misuse.

4. Transaction and Service Records

When you use the portal, the barangay may keep records of your document requests, appointment requests, uploaded or submitted requirements, request status updates, feedback, comments, notifications, and communication history related to barangay services.

5. Purpose of Data Use

Your information will be used to verify residency, create and manage your account, process barangay documents and appointments, identify possible benefits or priority services, send service updates, respond to inquiries, maintain service records, and protect the integrity of the barangay system.

6. Verification and Accuracy

You agree to provide true, complete, and updated information. The barangay may review your address and submitted details before approving requests. False, incomplete, or misleading information may result in delayed processing, rejected requests, account restriction, or other appropriate action.

7. Notifications and Communications

You consent to receive SMS, email, and in-system notifications about OTP verification, account status, document requests, appointments, announcements, reminders, and other official barangay updates relevant to residents.

8. Data Sharing and Confidentiality

Your information will be accessed only by authorized barangay personnel and system administrators for official purposes. It will not be sold. It may be shared only when required for barangay processing, legal compliance, public safety, or when you request a service that requires verification by authorized offices.

9. Retention and Resident Rights

The barangay will retain your account and service records only as needed for official records, audit, reporting, security, and legal requirements. You may request correction of inaccurate details or ask the Barangay Hall how your information is handled, subject to identity verification and applicable record-keeping rules.

10. Resident Responsibilities

You are responsible for keeping your username, password, OTP codes, and device access secure. Do not share your account, submit another person's information without authority, upload false documents, attempt unauthorized access, disrupt the system, or use the portal for non-official or abusive purposes.

11. Changes to Terms

The barangay may update these Terms and Conditions to improve services, strengthen security, or comply with legal requirements. Continued use of the system after updates means you accept the revised terms.
